(Harrisburg, PA) -- Pennsylvania is seeing more positive COVID-19 cases. The state's Department of Health reported more than 4,600 new positive cases yesterday. There are currently almost 2,400 people hospitalized with the coronavirus statewide, and of those cases, 446 patients are being treated in the intensive care unit. Officials also announced yesterday that over five-and-a-half-million vaccinations have been administered throughout PA.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Police are investigating a shooting in Harrisburg that killed a 47-year-old man. The shooting occurred this past Tuesday night in the 14-hundred-block of Vernon Street. Police say Laroyce Reed was found shot inside an apartment. He was taken to the hospital but later passed away from his injuries. Authorities announced yesterday that a 17-year-old boy is being accused of posting threats on social media against the West York Area School District that sent both middle and high school students home recently. Officials say the teenager claimed it was just a joke, but he is now being charged with three counts of making terroristic threats.

(Windsor Borough, PA) -- The search for a missing woman in York County is over. Police announced yesterday that they have found 37-year-old Stacy Lynn Snyder. She was originally reported missing after last being seen over Easter weekend. Officials say she was found unharmed just outside of Windsor Borough.

(Reading, PA) -- Walmart is now giving out COVID-19 vaccination doses to residents in Reading. The clinic inside the gymnasium of the Lausch Administration Building of the Exeter Township School District started administering doses to the community yesterday. Walmart will continue giving out the vaccine at that location until tomorrow. People who are eligible in Phase One-A and One-B and interested in receiving a dose at the Lausch Administration Building are being asked to schedule an appointment by calling the Pennsylvania Link to Aging and Disability Resource Center.

(Elizabethtown, PA) -- Registration is now open for youth summer programs in Lancaster County. Greater Elizabethtown Area Recreation-and-Community Services announced yesterday that it will be offering summer youth programs at several parks around the area. The eight-week long programs will engage participants with games like kickball and soccer and arts-and-crafts activities. The Lancaster Bureau Police confirmed yesterday that Oneximo Mendez of Lancaster City was arrested in the Dominican Republic recently. He was wanted in Pennsylvania on charges including rape of a child and unlawful contact with a minor after he failed to appear in court in 2014. Officials say Mendez has been extradited back to Lancaster County, and he is currently being held in the Lancaster County Prison on two-million-dollar bail.

(Exeter Township, PA) -- Demolition of the Exeter Promenade strip mall is now underway. Crews started demolishing the Promenade at Exeter Plaza shopping center off Perkiomen Avenue at East Neversink Road yesterday. The construction is a part of a project to move the township's municipal offices to the site. The Exeter Promenade was purchased by the township for two-and-a-half-million dollars.

They believe this is caused at least in part by people making multiple vaccine appointments and forgetting to cancel. Officials say no vaccine doses have been wasted yet due to this problem, but they urge people to cancel appointments they don't need.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- State education leaders are still planning to keep schools open despite the state's rise in COVID-19 cases. Health officials say the rolling seven-day case average has stopped increasing, so it seems the state is seeing another plateau. They added that it's a higher plateau than they'd like to see, but it's good news. With this, the CDC's recommendations for masks and three-feet of social distancing in schools, and the state's efforts to vaccinate teachers ahead of the school year, state officials believe it is safe to open full in-person learning.

(Doylestown, PA) -- A former Bucks County police officer is facing charges of child sex abuse. The Bucks County district attorney says James Carey is accused of sexually abusing four-teenagers 20-years ago while he worked as a Drug Abuse Resistance Education officer in Warminster Township. Officials say Carey was a veritable wolf in sheep's clothing, as he also worked with the Warminster Police Teen Activity Corps, took teenage boys on overnight camping trips and more. Carey is facing more than one-hundred counts of various charges including involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and more.
