>>Group Working To Build Tiny Home For Homeless Veterans

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A non-profit is working to build a small village of tiny homes for homeless veterans. Officials with the Veterans Outreach of Pennsylvania say a five-acre vacant lot in South Harrisburg was donated, and they hope to start building the 15-unit village next year. The tiny homes would have the basic necessities along with tvs and laptops, and they would be combined with a larger community center with a dining area, meeting spaces, a laundry, private showers and more. The next step for the group is to complete necessary permitting and to raise the estimated 3.5 million-dollars needed for the project. Those interested in learning more about the project can go online to veteransoutreachofpa.org.
