(Pittsburgh, PA) -- Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro is expected to announce a run for Governor. Yesterday, WTAE cited sources saying Shapiro will make an official announcement of his candidacy on Wednesday in Pittsburgh. With the announcement, Shapiro would become the first Democrat so far to enter the 2022 Governor's race in Pennsylvania. Democrat Governor Tom Wolf has reached term limitations and cannot run again for reelection next year.

(York, PA) -- Police in York have identified a suspect in a homicide. Yesterday, police officials said investigators are on the hunt for Christian Galarza. He is wanted in the death investigation of Selvin McEwan who was shot and killed on October 3rd at a home on East Poplar Street. A warrant for Galarza's arrest is now active.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Gas prices are up around the state and aren't going down any time soon. So says Doni Lee Spiegel with Triple-A Central Penn. Yesterday, Spiegel said the average price per gallon around Pennsylvania is three-42, up from two-49-this time last year. Spiegel says she expects the price will stay up because demand now surpasses supply. She says the increase in demand is the result of the economy's emergence from last year's COVID-19 shutdowns.

>>Lancaster Mennonite Moving Middle, High Schools Online

(Lancaster Co., PA) -- Lancaster Mennonite is moving its Lancaster campus to virtual learning. On Monday, the school announced that it would be switching middle and high school students to online classes due to COVID-19 exposure. School officials say students will begin virtual learning today and will carry on through Friday. Additionally, extracurriculars will also be canceled and are expected to return Saturday. Students will resume in-person learning on Monday.

>>12-Year-Old Charged After Allegedly Stabbing Child In Manheim Township

(Manheim Township, PA) -- A 12-year-old is facing assault charges after allegedly stabbing another child during a fight. Manheim Township police say the two children were fighting near Bucher Elementary School Saturday night when the 12-year-old pulled out a knife and stabbed the other 11-year-old child in the abdomen. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and was later released. The 12-year-old has been charged with aggravated assault and released to their parents. Authorities say the incident remains under investigation.
