The incident took place on Wednesday morning (January 22) at approximately 7:20 a.m. A man was stabbed multiple times and subsequently transported to a local hospital. His current condition remains unknown.
The suspect, identified as Thomas Bridgeforth, is in custody and faces charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault. According to ABC27, Bridgeforth claimed he acted in self-defense, stating that the victim was someone he "had problems with" and that the victim "got what he had coming to him." Police found Bridgeforth in possession of a bloody, silver pocket knife.
The Pennsylvania Capitol Police have confirmed that the incident is isolated and the investigation is ongoing.
