Reading Announces Plans For 275th Anniversary Celebration
(Reading, PA) -- Reading will be full of festivities in March as the city celebrates its 275th anniversary. Leaders announced a variety of plans for both free and ticketed events Thursday. The festivities kick off March 12th and include a gala at the Reading Public Museum, a fireworks display at the Pagoda and many events at local community centers and organizations. Leaders from Reading's sister cities in Reading, England and Reutlingen, Germany will also come for the celebration. Reading was founded in 1748 and was officially incorporated on March 16, 1847.
