(West Reading, PA) -- West Reading borough officials have ruled that streets near the R.M. Palmer factory explosion site will stay closed off for a while. Borough council members voted Tuesday night to approve keeping South Second Avenue closed between Penn Avenue and Franklin Street, as well keeping the 100 block of Cherry Street closed. All will remain shut down until local, state and federal officials say they're safe to reopen. Officials haven't given any indication on when that might be.
