Demonstrators Rally for School Funding Equity
(Reading, PA) -- Education supporters have gathered in Reading to call on lawmakers to rectify state funding for public schools. The group demonstrated Tuesday outside the school district's administration building carrying signs that read "Victory for Children" and "Stand up for Level Up." The so-called level-up supplement would rectify state funding for public schools and create equity for the most underfunded districts. Education officials say Reading's schools are some of the lowest-funded in the state.
