Wellspan Health Breaks Ground on New Surgery Center in Lancaster

(Lancaster County, PA) - Construction is now underway for a new regional health facility in Lancaster. WellSpan Health broke ground on its new 34-thousand-square-foot surgery center off Fruitville Pike Wednesday. Officials with the medical group say most of its Lancaster surgeries are currently done at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital in the northeastern part of the county. The Lancaster center is expected to open in summer 2024 in the CityGate Corporate Center near the Shoppes at Belmont.
