(Philadelphia, PA) -- The Eagles are mourning the loss of their former linebackers coach. The team announced Bill McGovern died at the age of 60 on Tuesday after a battle with cancer. McGovern coached outside linebackers from 2013-15 and helped guide his unit to 49 sacks in the 2014 season, a tie for second-most in the NFL. McGovern served under Chip Kelly in Philly and went on to coach with the Giants and Bears.
