City Council Considers Selling Land Next to Airport
(Reading, PA) -- The Reading City Council is discussing the potential sale of a city-owned property adjacent to the Reading Regional Airport. The eight-acre parcel of land is situated between the end of the airport runway and the Schuylkill River and cannot be developed. The people who would like to purchase the land for 20-thousand-dollars say they would use it to build a driveway to their property. Most councilors seemed to favor the sale but dispute the price, saying they can get more for the parcel even though no buildings can be put on it.
