(Strasburg, PA) -- One of the oldest surviving steam locomotives in North America is getting a new home. The 185-year-old 'Rocket' will be moving from the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia to the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg, Pennsylvania. The eight-and-a-half-ton Rocket was imported from England in 1838 and used by the Philadelphia & Reading Railroad. It's been at the Franklin Institute for 90 years. The institute's contractor handled the removal from the building on August 5th, while Lancaster-based Venezia Enterprises oversaw the loading and transportation of the ancient steam engine.
