(Reading, PA) -- The Penn Street Bridge in Reading has been renamed to honor the memory of Police Officer Scott A. Wertz. Governor Josh Shapiro signed a bill Monday to commemorate the life-long public service of the officer who was killed in the line of duty in 2006. He was attempting to help other officers who were trying to break up a fight. The man who was convicted of shooting Wertz, Cletus Rivera, is on Pennsylvania's death row.
