>Bicyclist Faces Charges After Allegedly Dropping Fanny Pack Filled With Fentanyl

(Reading, PA) - A Reading bicyclist faces drug-trafficking charges after city police said he shed a fanny pack containing fentanyl. Michael Sanchez, who is 26, is in the Berks County Prison awaiting a formal hearing. The case began when patrol officers saw two men pedaling in the wrong direction in the 200 block of South Fifth Street. Officers say the dropped fanny pack contained 100 packets of fentanyl, a sandwich bag with about one-third of an ounce of the drug, 12 containers of crack cocaine, drug-packaging materials and two smartphones. The other bike rider wasn't captured.
