Former Promenade Shopping Center Property To Be Sold
(Reading, PA) -- The Berks Planning Commission is trying to get out from under paying 20-thousand-dollars a year to maintain the property where the Promenade Shopping Center once stood. The board voted 4-to-1 Thursday to enter into an agreement with the Berks County Redevelopment Authority for the site at Perkiomen Avenue and East Neversink Road. The vacant shopping center was demolished nearly three years ago.
