Crash Causes Fuel Spill, Road Closure

(Maidencreek Township, PA) -- Part of Route 222 in Berks County was closed yesterday due to crash involving an 18-wheeler. Authorities said a semitruck collided with a car on the southbound lanes in Maidencreek Township, causing 350 gallons of diesel fuel to spill onto the road. It took about four hours before crews were able to open one lane, then an additional two hours before the road was completely open again. No injuries were reported.
