>Antietam School District Receives $3.77 Million For Flood Rebuild
(Reading, PA) -- A Berks County school district is getting more than three-million-dollars from the state to help the rebuilding process after flooding last year. Governor Josh Shapiro has announced the funding is going to the Antietam School District for construction projects stemming from the July 2023 floods. Most of the money is going toward the emergency construction project at the Stony Creek K-3 Center. The district is still working to repair the damage from the flood, with students attending classes in modular units and local churches.
