>Chief Deputy Miller To Become Berks Sheriff

(Berks County, PA) -- The Berks County Sheriff's Office now knows who will lead the department after Sheriff Eric Weaknecht heads to the state legislature. The department says Chief Deputy Mandy Miller will become acting sheriff when Weaknecht steps down next month. Weaknecht was elected this week to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He will take over the office held by retiring State Rep Barry Jozwiak, who Weaknecht also replaced as Berks County Sheriff.
