Redner's Accuses Frozen Potato Producers Of Price-Gouging

(Maidencreek Township, PA) -- Redner's Markets is filing a lawsuit accusing the biggest frozen potato producers in the United States of price-gouging. In the lawsuit filed last Friday, the Berks County-based supermarket chain claims the top four producers of frozen potato products in the country are conspiring to fix their prices above competitive levels. It noted frozen potato product prices have risen 47-percent since 2022 despite a decline in input costs. The companies named in the suit are Lamb Weston, McCain Foods, J.R. Simplot and Cavendish Farms.
