PUC, Met-Ed Agree To Rate Reduction

(Berks County, PA) -- Met-Ed's upcoming rate increase will not be as high as first proposed. The company has reached a deal with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission to reduce its request by more than 55-percent. Under the agreement, residential customers will see their rates go up by almost two-percent. Met-Ed's parent company FirstEnergy also agrees to not pursue any further rate changes until 2027.
