Officer Charged In Hunting Trip Shooting To Go To Trial

(Oley Township, PA) -- A Berks County police officer charged for a shooting on a hunting trip will go to trial. Officials said David Qawasmy waived his preliminary hearing on Wednesday. Qawasmy, an Exeter police officer, is accused of shooting another hunter in the head last November after drinking with other members of the party. He has been placed on leave.
