Two Juveniles Stabbed Near Reading Elementary School

Reading police are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred Friday night (June 6) outside an elementary school on North Tenth Street in Reading, Pennsylvania. Witnesses reported seeing a group of teenagers gathered in front of the school before the incident took place. Two juveniles were injured and subsequently taken to the hospital, though their current conditions remain unknown.

According to WFMZ-TV, clothing was observed on the sidewalk behind yellow tape at the scene. Witnesses, who chose to remain anonymous, stated that one juvenile was injured at the location, while another was hurt further down Buttonwood Street. However, these details have not been confirmed by the police.

Initial emergency radio reports, as noted by Berks Weekly, indicated that one victim, possibly a juvenile, was unconscious and not breathing after being stabbed in the chest. Police confirmed there were two victims and requested additional emergency medical services.

Officers are actively seeking surveillance footage from nearby residents and businesses to aid in the investigation. As of now, police have not disclosed whether any suspects are in custody. The Reading Police Department has stated that they are withholding further information to maintain the integrity of the investigation.
