Teen Dies Following Stabbing in Reading, PA

A 15-year-old boy has died following a stabbing incident that occurred on Friday evening (June 6) near Tenth and Green Elementary School in Reading, Pennsylvania. Berks County officials confirmed the teenager's death on Monday (June 9). The victim, whose identity has not been released, was one of two teens found with stab wounds at the scene.

According to WFMZ, the incident took place in the 400 block of North 10th Street. Both victims were treated on-site by emergency responders before being transported to Reading Hospital. The second victim, also a teenager, has since been released from the hospital.

Berks County District Attorney John T. Adams stated that his detectives are assisting Reading police in the investigation. Although no arrests have been made, authorities believe there is no ongoing threat to the public. Adams expressed concern about potential retaliation and emphasized the importance of preventing further violence.

Reading Mayor Eddie Moran extended his condolences to the victim's family and expressed confidence in the police department's efforts to seek justice. He urged the community to remain patient and cooperative as the investigation continues.
