Motorcyclist Killed In West Reading Crash

A motorcyclist died after a crash with a pickup truck in West Reading, Pennsylvania, on Sunday (July 13). The accident occurred around 3:07 p.m. at the intersection of Penn Avenue and South 2nd Avenue. According to Berks Weekly, the motorcyclist was traveling westbound when they crossed into the eastbound lane, colliding with the truck. Emergency responders found the rider trapped beneath the truck and unresponsive. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, the motorcyclist succumbed to their injuries.

The identity of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of the family.The crash led to the eastbound closure of Penn Avenue for several hours to allow for accident reconstruction. The West Reading Police Department is investigating the incident, examining factors such as speed and visibility.
