Police in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, are requesting assistance from the public to identify suspects involved in a shooting that occurred on Tuesday evening (August 12). The incident took place near the Works at Wyomissing, located on Bern Road, and resulted in a juvenile male being shot in the leg.
According to the Wyomissing Police Department, the victim reported that he and two friends were approached by two unidentified individuals after leaving the Works at Wyomissing. An altercation ensued, during which the victim was shot. Officers administered first aid at the scene before the victim was transported to Reading Hospital, where he is expected to recover.
Authorities conducted a thorough search involving multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Pennsylvania State Police, and utilized a helicopter and drone for aerial surveillance. Despite these efforts, the suspects remain at large. Police do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public but are actively seeking information to aid in the investigation.
