Investigation Underway in Fatal Berks County Motorcycle Crash

Authorities in Berks County, Pennsylvania, are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on Sunday (September 7). According to Cumru Township police, a motorcyclist was killed after being struck by an 18-wheeler upon exiting Route 222 South in Brecknock Township.

The motorcyclist reportedly bypassed several traffic controls and nearly hit a fire police officer before the collision. The crash happened near the Adamstown exit, where the motorcyclist ignored stopped traffic and continued into the path of the semi-trailer.

Police from Brecknock Township are leading the investigation, with assistance from Cumru Township officers. There was no police pursuit involved prior to the crash, as confirmed by Cumru investigators. The identity of the motorcyclist has not yet been released.

The incident is part of an ongoing investigation, and authorities are working to gather more details about the circumstances leading up to the crash.
