A Reading man is behind bars for a shooting that wounded a victim in the leg during a fight last September, authorities announced Thursday (March 5).
Luis Cartagena faces charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and related offenses stemming from the incident on the 500 block of Schuylkill Avenue in September 2025. According to WFMZ-TV, Cartagena shot a man during the altercation, striking the victim in the leg.
Online court records show Cartagena is currently being held at Berks County Jail after a judge denied him bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday (March 13).
