(Wyomissing, PA) -- Officials with Walmart in Wyomissing say they closed their doors late Saturday morning after hearing rumors of a protest inside their building. A spokesperson tells the Reading Eagle they store closed to customers as a precaution. The protest was reportedly in response to the arrest of Stanley Gracius, who was taken into custody after purchasing a bike at the store, then riding it around the inside of the building and becoming disruptive when he refused to leave. Gracius is facing aggravated assault, disarming a law enforcement officer, and other charges. He is free on bail.

Northern Lancaster County Police are calling William Phillips dangerous after he allegedly strangled and raped a woman Thursday morning in Warwick Township. It happened on the 100-block of Cathy Ann Drive in the township’s Farming Ridge section during a picnic Sunday. It’s reported the deck pulled away from the house and collapsed.

(Union Twp., PA) -- Crews will continue to search a Union Township lake today for a boater who went missing Sunday. It happened last night at Hopewell Lake at French Creek State Park following reports that a boat had overturned, dumping three people into the water. It’s reported two of the three were able to get out of the water safely.

(Bern Twp., PA) -- The death of a newborn baby who tested positive for COVID-19 is being investigated as an accident. Acting Berks County Coroner Jonn Hollenbach said Friday his office is looking at the 26-day-old girl's death at Reading Hospital on Sunday as an accidental suffocation due to co-sleeping with an adult. While final autopsy findings are still pending, Hollenbach stressed there is no evidence indicating coronavirus caused or contributed to the infant's death.
