(Reading, PA) -- Flooded roads and flooded basements continue to pose problems for a number of people in Berks County. Tropical Storm Isaias dumped several inches of rain Tuesday, coming on the heels of another storm that also dumped several inches of rain. The Pennsylvania Helicopter Aquatic Rescue Team had to help with rescue efforts in Berks and Montgomery counties. If you come across a flooded road, officials say you should turn around and do not drive through floodwaters.

(Lancaster, PA) -- Lancaster city officials are blaming Tuesday’s wet weather for bringing down a tree branch that closed Chesapeake Street. The branch closed the road between the 600-block of South Queen and East Strawberry streets. The city’s arborist was called in to help clear the limb.

(Reading, PA) -- A fence could soon be going up around the Pagoda to keep people away after hours. Reading City Council discussed a proposal during last night's Committee of the Whole meeting. Officials said that the Public Works Department is working with a contractor on a plan that would include fencing, stop signs, and new lighting. Earlier this year, the city hired a security firm to patrol the area to help deal with noise complaints and other issues.

(Reading, PA) -- Power officials say Tuesday’s storm knocked out power to thousands of homes and businesses. Met-Ed reported more than 24-thousand homes and businesses in Berks lost power during the storm Tuesday. That number was cut down to 15 thousand by last night, but some customers could be without service until at least Friday. The saturated ground and winds brought down a number of trees and power lines

(Exeter Twp., PA) -- Exeter Township’s school board is reversing course on its reopening plan for the 2020-2021 school year. Last night, the board voted to open schools virtually for at least the first nine weeks of the year. The first day of the school year will now be August 27th as a half-day session with their first full day coming on August 31st.
