(Reading, PA) -- The United Way of Berks County is giving grants from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott to two local groups. A 150-thousand-dollar grant will be given away to the Second Street Learning Center in Reading, and a 120-thousand-dollar grant will go to the two-one-one information help line. Scott gave the United Way ten-million-dollars last year to support programs in Berks County.
