(Lancaster, PA) -- Emmaus Police have traced the social media account of a 14-year-old girl who they believe Is responsible for issuing a threat that prompted Emmaus High school to close early Friday. The school has already been locked down due to a nationwide social media threat, but it closed early after students made officials aware of a local threat made on Snapchat. The threat described a shooting that supposedly was going to happen at the school, including specific times and targets. The girl was arrested and charged with making terroristic threats Saturday. A warrant shows police searched a Minor Street apartment where the girl lives with a guardian. They seized an iPhone, a notebook computer and an internet router as part of their investigation.

(Lebanon, PA) -- Lebanon County Commissioners are defending their decision for a proposed 18 percent property tax increase in the 2022 budget. Officials are looking at a zero-point-six [[ 0.6 ]] mill increase for 2022. The last tax increase came in 2016, when commissioners raised the millage rate to 3.2925 mills. The assessed value of homes throughout Lebanon County is at an average of just under 169-thousand dollars. Homeowners with that value would see their taxes increased by just over 100-dollars. Officials say they did everything they could to not have to raise property taxes but have seen no other solution.

(Matric Township, PA) -- Fire crews have been battling two brushfires in Southeastern Lancaster County as of Monday night. The first fire started just before noon near Kelly's Run in Matric Township. The second fire started around 3 p.m. not far from Susquehannock State Park in Drumore Township. No injuries were reported in either fire. There's also been no word on what caused them.

(Heidelberg Township, PA) -- State police have identified two people who died in a head-on collision Sunday night in Heidelberg Township. Pennsylvania State Police said 50-year-old Arthur Matz and 44-year-old Jody Matz were from Myerstown. They were traveling along Route when an SUV crossed into their lane and hit their car. Police say the 34-year-old driver of the SUV and his 12-year-old passenger were taken to a hospital. Their conditions and names have not been released.

(Lancaster, PA) - The Pennsylvania SPCA's Lancaster Center says it'll be waiving adoption fees during an event they're calling " Happy Pawlidays." The offer lasts through Friday. Officials with the organization say you can go online to see potential adoptees, fill out the paperwork and schedule a meet-and-greet at the no-kill shelter. All potential adopters must still go through the same screening process, but the fee is waived once the adoption is approved. Adoption fees ordinarily range from 150 to 300 dollars for dogs and begin at 85 dollars for cats.
