(Undated) - Here's the latest news: The York City Council will hold a special meeting Thursday to consider whether to override Mayor Helfrich's veto of the 2022 York City Budget. The York County coroner has released the name of a stabbing victim who is believed to have died on Sunday. Grammy Award-winning bluegrass musician Del McCoury, who is from York,, will soon be inducted into the Central Pennsylvania Music Awards and Hall of Fame.

(York, PA) -- The York City Council will hold a special meeting Thursday to consider whether to override Mayor Helfrich's veto of the 2022 York City Budget. In a press release, City Council President Henry Nixon, says aside from the mayor's recommendation that the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 spending plan be removed, the FY2022 budget was totally approved. Along with other City Council representatives Nixon has continued to urge the mayor to approve the 2022 budget. The meeting is set for on Thursday, December 30th at 10 a.m.  

>>Coroner Releases Name of Man Found Dead Sunday

(York, PA) -- The York County coroner has released the name of a stabbing victim who is believed to have died on Sunday. An autopsy is being conducted on the body of Joselito Pagan-Ocasio who was found dead Sunday night in his home in the 300 block of East King Street. He was 36 years old. Police were called around 11:30 p.m. for a report of a shooting, but Pagan-Ocasio is believed to have been stabbed. 

>>Fire Damages Applebee's Restaurant in Lancaster County

(East Lampeter Township, PA) -- Fire officials say it may be a while before a Lancaster County restaurant is able to open for business again. Crews were called around 10:15 a.m. Tuesday to the Applebee's restaurant in the 23-hundred block of Lincoln Highway East in East Lampeter Township in response to a kitchen fire. Firefighters said the fire started on a grill as employees were preparing to open. There was no damage to the dining area but the smell of smoke has heavily permeated the restaurant. There were no injuries were reported.

(Lancaster, PA) -- UGI is one of eight Pennsylvania utilities that have increased their energy prices. Officials say it's a reflection of the higher cost to produce natural gas. Energy charges account for about half of a residential bill, according to the company. If you're serviced by UGI, expect to see your costs increase about ten percent a month for a gas heating customer. Energy executives say their costs are increasing because fuel prices for power generators are going up and that's driven mostly by natural gas. The change is also pushing up electricity prices in wholesale power markets. 

>>Del McCoury to be inducted into Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame 

(Hershey, PA) -- Promoters for the third annual Central Pennsylvania Music Awards and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony say a legendary act from York is one of the inductees being honored this year. Del McCoury is a Grammy Award-winning bluegrass musician. As leader of the Del McCoury Band, he plays guitar and sings lead vocals along with his two sons, Ronnie McCoury and Rob McCoury. He was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2003 and into the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame in 2011. The event will take place in March 24 at the Hershey Theatre in Hershey.
