(Muhlenberg Township, PA) -- The Berks Cares Vaccine Center in Muhlenberg Township is making some changes in its hours of operation. Berks County and Penn State Health St. Joseph, the providers who supply the vaccine and medical personnel at the facility, announced Thursday that they will be adjusting the hours to better reflect community trends. The center will now be open Thursdays from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Officials said the change is being made because weekday use of the center has dwindled, with most appointments taking place on Saturdays. And the evening hours are being added due to expressed interest. The center is in the North Reading Plaza, 5370 Allentown Pike, near Walmart Supercenter.
