Berks Woman Charged With Food Stamp Fraud
(Womelsdorf, PA) -- A Berks County woman has been arrested and charged with food stamp fraud. Rosemary Barrise is accused of collecting over eight-thousand-dollars in supplemental nutrition benefits that she was not entitled to. The case is being prosecuted by the state inspector general's office. Barrise is free without bail after she was recently arraigned in Reading Central Court.
