(Reading, PA) -- The former treasurer of a Reading teachers union is being sentenced after she admitted to stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars. In June, Lisa Herbinko pleaded guilty to several charges, including theft and tampering with records, after it was discovered that she had stolen nearly 400-thousand-dollars from the Reading Education Association. The union represents Reading's public schools teachers. Herbinko has been sentenced to six to 23-months in jail, followed by ten-years of probation.
