(Reading, PA) -- A man is in custody after he allegedly broke into multiple homes and fired gunshots at Reading police officers during a chase this week. Authorities said 22-year-old Davius Ortiz tried to run away after officers found him driving a stolen car, then fired at officers while climbing a fence. Police said Ortiz broke into a home, removed his clothing and ditched a gun, then jumped off the roof and entered another home before he was taken into custody. No officers or bystanders were injured.
