Berks DA Adams Critical Of USPS After Mail Theft

(Berks County, PA) -- The Berks County District Attorney says the U.S. Postal Service needs to do better after hundreds of pieces of mail were stolen with a master key. Authorities said the key was found by officers after a pursuit of two suspects who were wanted for suspicious activity outside the St. Lawrence Post Office early Monday morning. Police also reportedly found about 500 pieces of mail along with cash, altered checks, and multiple bank cards. Berks District Attorney John Adams said he hopes the postal service takes a "good hard look" at the incident, because "this is a breach."
