(Lancaster, PA) -- The President of the Council for the City of Lancaster will soon be traveling back and forth to Harrisburg a lot. Democrat Izzy Smith-Wade-El has won election to the District 49 seat in the General Assembly. He beat challenger Anne Rivers by nearly 50 percent, garnering nearly 11-thousand votes to Rivers' 55-hundred. The seat covers three wards in Lancaster City as well as Lancaster Township and the borough of Millersville.
