A pedestrian is in the hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Reading, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred near North Ninth and Elm Streets on Saturday afternoon (July 12). The victim's condition remains unknown as the investigation continues.
According to WFMZ, the weather in the area has been challenging, with a flood watch in effect due to expected heavy rain and thunderstorms. This weather may have contributed to the incident, although it is not yet confirmed.
In a separate incident, Yahoo News reported that two pedestrians were injured in a hit-and-run crash in Reading on Thursday (July 10) evening. The crash occurred at 14th Street and Perkiomen Avenue, where both victims were found with serious injuries and taken to Reading Hospital. The driver involved in this incident later contacted the police.
The investigation into both incidents is ongoing, and authorities are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the accidents.
