Pennsylvania has secured a prominent place in the world of roller coasters, with four of its thrill rides making it to USA Today's 10Best 2026 Readers' Choice Awards. The list, which highlights the top roller coasters in the United States, features Phoenix at Knoebels in the top spot. Phoenix is celebrated for its 45 mph speeds and breathtaking views of the surrounding hills.
Coming in second is Phantom's Revenge at Kennywood, known for its exhilarating second drop of 232 feet at 85 mph. Ravine Flyer II at Waldameer & Water World takes the fifth position. This coaster is recognized as the tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster in Pennsylvania, featuring a thrilling 120-foot first drop. Finally, Wildcat's Revenge at Hersheypark rounds out the list at number 10, offering an exciting ride with its 140-foot height, 62 mph speed, and four inversions.
USA Today compiled this list through nominations by a panel of experts, followed by votes from readers. These accolades not only highlight the thrilling experiences offered by these coasters but also underscore Pennsylvania's reputation as a top destination for roller coaster enthusiasts.
The state also boasts top theme parks, with Knoebels, Kennywood, and Hersheypark receiving recognition in the Best Theme Park category. As the summer season continues, these parks are expected to draw large crowds eager to experience these top-ranked rides.
