Pennsylvania County Leaders Considering Going Against Governor's Orders

>>Pennsylvania County Leaders Considering Going Against Governor's Orders

(Lehigh, PA) -- At least six Pennsylvania county commissioners are considering going against Governor Tom Wolf's orders and prematurely ease COVID-19 restrictions. Dauphin County Commissioner Jeff Haste says he has faith in the citizens of Pennsylvania to take it amongst themselves to follow CDC guidelines and do what's right if counties removed the stay-at-home order. Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lebanon and Schuylkill counties currently have a higher rate of new cases than the 50-case-per-one-hundred-thousand resident threshold the governor detailed in his order. The initial stay-at-home order was issued to prevent hospitals from becoming overwhelmed, ultimately causing more deaths.
