(Sinking Spring, PA) -- The Western Berks Fire Department is being credited with extinguishing a house fire and saving a dog's life early Sunday morning. The fire broke out on the 100 Block of Cacoosing Ave in Sinking Spring Borough Sunday morning.The blaze was discovered in the kitchen area on the first floor of the home and was quickly extinguished.The dog was discovered unconscious on the second floor and was administered oxygen until it regained consciousness. 

>>Thousands Take Part In Prayer Ride For Missing Amish Woman 

(Bird-In-Hand, PA) -- Organizers say thousands of bikers from across the country traveled to Lancaster County this weekend to take part in a prayer ride for a missing Amish woman.The bikers wore yellow, which is 18-year-old Linda Stoltzfoos' favorite color. The Amish teenager has been missing for more than a month, after being last seen on June 21st while walking home from church on Stumptown Road. Last month, officials arrested Justo Smoker in the kidnapping, but Stoltzfoos is still nowhere to be found.

(South Heidelberg Twp., PA) -- Pennsylvania State Police are searching for an inmate after he escaped from a correctional center in Berks County.

Police say 29-year-old Michael Hill of New Ringgold left Wernersville Community Correction Center without authorization Saturday morning.There is an active warrant of arrest for Hill.

(Alsace Twp., PA) -- A car accident last week is being blamed for shutting down Route 12 in Alsace Township Saturday.It’s reported a vehicle struck a telephone poll, which ended up being suspended across the roadway between Skyline Drive and Antietam Road.It’s unclear if anyone was hurt in the wreck. 

>>Three People, Including Infant Recovering After Shillington House Fire 

(Shillington, PA) -- Three people, including an infant, are recovering after being rushed to the hospital for smoke inhalation in a fire in Berks County last week.Firefighters got the call Friday morning for the house fire in the 100 block of Second Street in Shillington. Fire officials said the family managed to make it down the stairs but couldn't see the door to get out of the home, so firefighters led them to safety.It appears the fire started in the home’s basement.
