(West Lawn, PA) -- The Wilson School District is moving forward on fall sports. The board approved taking part this season with an eight-to-one vote Thursday. Football practice in the district can start on Monday, August 31st.

(Lancaster, PA) -- Organizers with Just Between Friends say they have over ten-thousand items for sale this weekend at Park City Mall. The consignment sale is being held at the former Bon-Ton now through Saturday. Those interested in shopping are asked to pre-register on their website.

(Reading, PA) -- A motorcycle operator is hurt after a crash yesterday evening in Reading. It happened near the intersection of North Front and Douglass streets. The crash left a vehicle with damage to its driver’s side. There’s no word on the motorcycle rider’s condition.

>>United Way Of Berks County Reminds Residents About Rental Assistance

(Reading, PA) -- The United Way of Berks County is reminding people that help is available if they can't pay their rent during the pandemic. Officials say people can dial 2-1-1 to learn about rental assistance. Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf says he doesn't have the authority to extend the state's moratorium on evictions and foreclosures beyond August 31st, meaning renters will no longer be shielded from losing their homes for failing to pay rent during the pandemic.

>>Berks Arts Council Undergoes Name Change

(Reading, PA) -- Reading-based Berks Arts Council is going by a new name. Starting next Tuesday September 1st, the organization will be known as Berks Arts to go along with its new logo and refined mission. Officials with Berks Arts said having council in its name created a perception that it was a governing organization for arts and arts organizations. Instead, Berks Arts focuses on creating collaborations and partnerships among artists, art organizations, businesses, nonprofits, and government.
