>>Reading City Council Settles With County Over Unbilled Water Meter

(Reading, PA) -- The Reading City Council is settling with the county over nearly three decades of unbilled water service. The council voted yesterday to agree to $375,000 payments to the city and the water authority. The deal stems from the discovery of two water meters in the basement of the Berks County Services Center in 2019. One of the two meters hadn't been measured and billed since the building was built in 1992.
