US Army Commemorates 240th Anniversary With Mt Vernon Ceremonies

(Berks County, PA) -- A Berks County interchange is now named for a Cumru Township Marine who served in Iwo Jima. A sign was revealed yesterday designating the Mohns Hill Road interchange on Route 22 as the Corporal Mahlon [[ MAY-lihn ]] L. Fink Iwo Jima Memorial Highway Interchange. Representative Mark Gillen and Senator Judy Schwank attended the ceremony. Fink received a Purple Heart for his service at the Battle of Iwo Jima. He died last year at the age of 93.
