>>Car Accident Kills Woman in Bethel Township

(Bethel Township, PA) -- A Berks County woman is dead after a car accident in Bethel Township over the weekend. The crash happened on I-78 westbound Saturday afternoon.  Police say a Ford Taurus crashed into the rear of a tractor-trailer when traffic slowed down because of a pre-existing accident. The driver of the Taurus was dead at the scene and the incident is still under investigation.

>>Exeter Man Dead After Being Struck By Vehicle

(Cumru Township, PA) -- Officials say an Exeter Township man is dead after being hit by a vehicle Friday night. The accident happened on I-176 in Cumru Township. Police say 75-year-old Larry Murphy got into a car accident and was crossing the roadway before being struck by a passing vehicle. Officials are reporting the manner of death is accidental.

>>No Foul Play Announced for Kutztown University Student's Death

(Maxatawny Township, PA) -- State police are not suspecting foul play was involved in the death of a Kutztown University student. University officials found 31-year-old Hannah Varn dead in her room at Dixon hall Thursday night.  Investigators announced Friday that no foul play is suspected and no other students are in danger. The Berks County coroner's office plans to complete an autopsy to determine the student's cause of death.

>>Police Searching for Man Involved in Deadly Crash

(Reading, PA) -- Berks County Police are looking for a driver who was involved in a crash that killed a tow truck operator. A warrant was issued Friday evening for 29-year-old Allen Putman of Johnstown. Police say Putnam was under the influence of controlled substances during the deadly accident that happened on I-78 in Bethel Township over the summer. Putnam is facing charges that include homicide by vehicle while DUI.

>>Lancaster Man Stabbed

(Lancaster, PA) -- A Lancaster man is recovering after being stabbed. Police say the stabbing happened yesterday morning on High Street near Filbert Street. The man was taken to the hospital but his condition is unknown.
