(Berks County, PA) -- Berks County leaders are starting new initiatives for the homeless who are positive for COVID-19. According to an announcement on Friday, the county is teaming up with Opportunity House and the Hope Rescue Mission to take care of the homeless during the pandemic. Travel trailers will be set up in front of the Hope Rescue Mission to provide shelter to single homeless men or women who have tested positive. Officials say they are also providing single-family homes outside the city and are looking to buy some properties in the 600-block of Walnut Street.
