(Reading, PA) -- A man from Schuylkill County who is being accused of murdering his infant son is now behind bars after being arrested in Reading. Berks County sheriff's deputies arrested Cordell Thomas on Friday at a home in the 300-block of Pine Street. Thomas is being charged with third-degree murder and aggravated assault for allegedly killing his three-month-old child in Pottsville last Thursday. He is facing other charges including involuntary manslaughter, endangering the welfare of children, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.

(Muhlenberg Township, PA) -- Rescue teams are still searching for a man who fell into a water-filled quarry while trying to run away from the police. The incident occurred Friday morning when a man was accused of shoplifting from a Target store on North Fifth Street Highway in Muhlenberg Township. Police say the man fled the scene after they arrived, and he fell into the water-filled quarry behind the building. Rescue teams have been using sonar technology to try to find the man but haven't had any luck yet.

(Rapho Township, PA) -- Authorities are investigating the cause of an accident that injured four firefighters in Lancaster County. The accident happened over the weekend while the firefighters were responding to a barn fire in Rapho Township. Officials say a fire engine from Mastersonville Fire Company crashed and four firefighters were taken to the hospital. Their conditions are currently unknown.

(Lancaster, PA) -- The search for a missing elderly woman in Lancaster County is over. Police announced over the weekend that they found 80-year-old Mildred Cranmer, and she returned home unharmed. She was originally reported missing this past Thursday after she was last seen at Wildbriar Court North in Lancaster.

>>Lancaster County Coroner Identifies Body Found In Susquehanna River

(Conoy Township, PA) -- The Lancaster County coroner is releasing the identity of the man who was found dead in the Susquehanna River. The body was identified Saturday as 36-year-old Benjamin Shambaugh of Mechanicsburg. He was found dead in the river by a fisherman on January 15th near Koser Park in Conoy Township. The coroner's office says his cause of death was from freshwater drowning, but the manner of his death is still undetermined.
