(Reading, PA) -- A company in Berks County is going to get a lot of help from a grant worth about 340-thousand dollars. The Met-Ed Penelec Sustainable Energy Fund awarded Bern Township's Solarflux Energy Technologies the grant yesterday. Officials for the company say the money will be used to improve its efforts in developing a solar dish concentrator that can deliver clean and inexpensive thermal energy.

>>Five People In Lancaster Charged After Drug Bust

(Lancaster, PA) -- Five people are now behind bars after a drug bust in Lancaster. Lancaster Police announced yesterday that they successfully executed a search warrant this past Thursday at a home in the 500-block of Beaver Street. Investigators say over 250 vials of crack cocaine, about 550 wax packets of heroin, Suboxone pills and more than 14-thousand-dollars in cash were found during the search. Three residents are facing charges for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal conspiracy. Two other people who were present in the home are being charged with possession of heroin, crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

>>Berks County Teenager Charged For Shooting At Reading House

(Reading, PA) -- A Berks County teenager is being charged as an adult for allegedly shooting at a home in Reading. The shooting happened over the weekend at a house in the eleven-hundred-block of Marion Street. Police say 17-year-old Kevin Desiderio fired a gun at the house while people were inside. He is being charged with robbery, making terroristic threats, aggravated assault and discharging a firearm into an occupied structure.

>>West Reading Police Looking For Suspect Who Assaulted Elderly Man

(West Reading, PA) -- West Reading Police are asking the public for help in finding a man who allegedly assaulted an elderly man. The incident happened Sunday evening in the 400-block of Chestnut Street. Police say the man was a passenger in a sedan, and the department has released surveillance pictures of the suspect they're searching for. Anyone with any information on the crime is being asked to contact Crime Alert Berks County.

>>Body Of Suspected Shoplifter Pulled From Muhlenberg Quarry

(Muhlenberg Township, PA) -- The search for a man who was accused of shoplifting is over after he was found dead in a water-filled quarry in Muhlenberg Township. The Berks County coroner's office confirmed yesterday that it has identified the body pulled from the quarry over the weekend as 23-year-old Joshua Fontanez-Rodriguez of Schuylkill County. Officials say the 23-year-old was involved in a shoplifting attempt at a Target store before he ran behind the building and fell into the water-filled quarry.
