(Reading, PA) -- The lawyer of a woman who is being accused of killing her two children in Berks County is asking the judge to hold her trial elsewhere. A pre-trial hearing was held yesterday for Lisa Snyder, who is being charged for allegedly hanging her two kids in the basement of their home in Albany Township in 2019. Snyder's lawyer filed a motion to have the trial take place in another county, as well as having her tried separately for her charges of having sexual intercourse with an animal. The next hearing in the case is scheduled to be held on April 9th.

(Manheim Township, PA) -- Police are investigating the cause of a car accident in Lancaster County that claimed the life of an eleven-year-old boy. The crash happened last night in the eleven-hundred-block of Lititz Pike in Manheim Township. Police say two vehicles collided head-on after one car accidentally crossed over into oncoming traffic. Four people involved in the accident were transported to the hospital, but an eleven-year-old passenger later died from their injuries. (Reading, PA) -- Four people in Berks County are being charged for allegedly running an illegal casino operation. David Scott Hutchinson and Nahyun Hutchinson were arrested yesterday by detectives with the district attorney's office. Both are facing first-degree felony charges of corrupt organizations and dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities. Police say they are searching for two other suspects, Sean Sang Lee and Matthew Kyle Shepherd, who are facing similar charges. The criminal charges are being filed after a seven-month investigation resulted in a raid of Windfall Amusements seven-seven-seven Casino in the Kenhorst Plaza shopping center last year.

(Reading, PA) -- Police are investigating a street shootout that happened in Reading. The gunfight happened this past Wednesday afternoon in the one-thousand-block of Marion Street. Police say they arrested an 18-year-old suspect and are currently searching for another suspect who was involved in the shootings. (Lancaster, PA) -- A statue honoring Olympic sprinter Barney Ewell is going to be erected in downtown Lancaster. The Barney Ewell Legacy Committee announced yesterday that it is in the process of commissioning a statue to honor the Lancaster-native. Ewell earned one gold and two silver Olympic medals for sprinting in 1948. He was raised in Lancaster and ran for Penn State University, where he was considered the fastest man in the world at the time.
