>>West Reading Pharmacy to Distribute Moderna Vaccine this Week

(West Reading, PA) -- A West Reading pharmacy is going to be teaming up with a Reading-based organization to vaccinate more residents in Berks County this week. The West Reading Drug Store announced yesterday that it is partnering with The Forge to administer about one-hundred doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. The planned vaccine distribution will be done by appointment only and it will be located at 645 Walnut Street in Reading at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow.

>>Opportunity House in Berks County Awarded One-Hundred-Thousand-Dollar Grant

(Reading, PA) -- The Opportunity House in Reading is going to be able to expand after receiving some help from the state. The Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development awarded the Opportunity House a one-hundred-thousand-dollar grant yesterday. Officials say the money is going to be used to convert a blighted property into a living space for low-income people in the county. Berks County is going to be matching the state's funding in the future.

>>Network Outage Causes Millersville University to Cancel Classes Again

(Millersville, PA) -- Classes at Millersville University are going to be canceled again today due to a network outage. The university announced yesterday that all in-person and virtual classes expected to take place today are going to be canceled. Officials say S-M-C, Rec Services and the university's store will still be available for students and staff. The cancelation is caused by a network outage at the university that happened over the weekend and it caused classes to be canceled for yesterday as well.

>>Crash in Lancaster County Kills 20-Year-Old Man

(Elizabeth Township, PA) -- A man is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Lancaster County. The accident occurred early yesterday morning in the 500-block of 28th Division Highway in Elizabeth Township. Police say the 20-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle due to rainy conditions before he drifted over to oncoming traffic and was hit by another vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and a passenger in the other vehicle were treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

>>Dunkin' Gives Helping Harvest Food Bank $8,500 Donation

(Spring Township, PA) -- The Helping Harvest food bank in Berks County is getting a little help from Dunkin'. The Dunkin' Community Cruiser made a stop by Helping Harvest in Spring Township yesterday. The food bank's president Jay Worrall was given a check for 85-hundred-dollars by Dunkin' company representatives during the visit. The donation is a part of the company's annual Roast Hunger campaign which started in 2011.
